Wine and Beer Are Here!



As we approach our ninth anniversary, we have lots to celebrate here at Newcastle Produce.

Not only do we have loyal customers who support us year after year (thank you!) and lots of new customers who are pleased to discover us here in the historic fruit sheds of Newcastle (welcome!), we have had the opportunity to grow and expand in many ways over the years. This month, we are growing in a way that customers have requested for years!

WINE & BEER ARE HERE!
After lots of planning and paperwork, we are pleased to announce that wine and beer will finally be available at NP this month. As you know, we strive to bring you unique, locally grown and produced items of the finest quality—things you just can’t find in other stores. You can trust that our wine and beer offerings will follow suit.

LOCAL WINES
Look for delicious, small-production wines mostly from our home state of California, including some from Placer County. We will have some specialty items, too, such as dessert wines and champagne.

In our wine section, which is at the end of the produce case, we will help you make a selection with informative tags for each wine, giving you information about that wine’s flavors and good pairing opportunities.

One of the wines we will be carrying is the Jayson Pinot Noir, a 100 percent pino noir that has a rich, earthy nose with hints of Bing cherry, blackberry, and a long
complex finish, with notes of plum and spice. Try this with your next thick steak.

MICROBREWED BEER
Our beer selection will also surprise and delight you. We will be carrying a great assortment of artisan
microbrews from California, and we will also offer specialty items such as limited-edition holiday brews.

For example, we will be carrying the IPA and Porter from the Eel River Brewing Company, an all-organic brewing company that consistently wins top medals from the Humboldt County Fair for its brews.

FALL TASTING EVENT
This fall, we will host a special evening tasting event where we will showcase our new offerings and give you a chance to sample not only our wine and beer, but some of our new menu offerings as well. Stay tuned!
