Savor All Kinds of Sweetness



When you live where we do, with some of the best produce in the world, there are many different kinds of sweet.

There is the tangy sweetness of a navel orange grown just a few miles away and picked fresh. There is the earthy sweetness of a locally grown deep red beet. There is the nutty sweetness of mashed French fingerling potatoes with butter and cream. There is sticky sweet honey and chunky sweet jam, made right here in Placer County. And there is the classic sweet taste of chocolate and ice cream.

Our store is a great place to taste the many kinds of sweetness that this blessed area can offer. Some of our gourmet sweets include Valentine cards, Valentine decorated sugar cookies and foil covered chocolate dipped Oreos, chocolate roses on a stick, Raspberry bark and Valentine bark with white chocolate and cinnamon hearts, Elaine's toffee, not to mention the many offerings from NP Customer Favorite: Scharffen Berger. Stop in today and pick up some sweets for the sweeties in your life.

CUSTOMER FAVORITES
And speaking of customer favorites, we had a blast tabulating all the votes from our NP Customer Favorites Contest. Winners include Republic of Tea Ginger Peach, Mt. Tam cheese from the Cowgirl Creamery (“The creamiest—great with pears & apples!” raved one fan), Newcastle Produce Mandarin Marmalade, (“Fantastic on scones or homemade biscuits,” wrote one voter), Bariani Olive Oil, Snow’s Citrus Orange Balsamic Dressing, Wasabi Lime Mustard, and Beth’s Babies Ginger Snaps. Customer favorites from our deli included the New England Clam Chowder and the Pumpkin Torte.

Customers also included a variety of items in the Other category, such as Local Eggs, Dr. Bob’s Ice Cream, and Truckee Sourdough.
